Historic spa buildings and adjacent colonnades, as well as listed hotels and other cultural monuments, will captivate you with their size and luxury. o   A ski race named after the first King of Bohemia – Charles IV

o   The second oldest cross-country race in the Czech Republic (this season it is the 52th year)

o   With the idea to organize this race around Boží Dar came in the late 1960s Jan Praveček and Jiří Čáslavský from the Ski Club Slovan Karlovy Vary (the race was supposed to be similar to the Swedish Vasaloppet)

o   At the start of the first year in 1969 there were 35 daredevils who took a 25 km long track from Boží Dar to Plešivec and back

o   In the first years the tracks were trampled, later the organizers of the Ski Club Slovan Karlovy Vary had one of the first snowmobiles in Bohemia
