A new era begins for the Skadi Loppet in January 2025.

The special flair of the event, the atmosphere among the participants and the good organization characterize the Skadi Loppet a Cross-Country skiing festival for over 30 years. The Bodenmais tourism center at an altitude of 700 m, about 5 km from the start and finish in the Skadi Loppet stadium, hosts the ski marathon runners from all over the world. The network of trails with over 100 km of prepare trails, at an altitude of 1140 m to 1300 m, is one of the most snow-sure and beautiful Cross-Country skiing areas in Central Europe.
Another novelty for the Skadi Loppet is that the German Ski Association holds the German Ski Marathon Championships at the Skadi Loppet in Bodenmais every year. These championships are held alternately in free and classic techniques at the two largest German ski marathon events, the König Ludwig Lauf in Oberammergau and the Skadi Loppet.
